Bob's Discount Furniture, one of the long-time occupants of Orange's retail furniture cluster, has put its store at 515 Boston Post Road on the market for $2.9 million.

Bob's officials announced in January that they are planning to relocate the store across Boston Post Road to the Orange Meadow shopping center. But the listing on the website of the New Haven-based commercial realtor Houlihan Lawrence Wareck D'Ostilio was the first time the sale price had been revealed.

Bob's Discount Furniture is scheduled to leave its current location at the end of October, according to the listing on the real estate firm's website. The 26,285 square foot two-story building was built in 1969.

When the move was first announced, Chris Day, senior vice president of real estate for the Manchester-based furniture retailer, said Bob's has had a store in Orange since 1995. Even though the new space that Bob's Discount Furniture is 4,000 square feet smaller than the current location, all of the space is on one level, which Day said the furniture retailer prefers.

The property was last sold in March 2000 when a West Hartford limited liability company, Five Hundred and Fifteen Boston Road Associates LLC purchased it from Kahanico Associates for $3.25 million.
